The Barker Library is an integral part of teaching and learning at Barker for the entire Barker community.

Located in the heart of the campus, it is a welcoming and focused learning space on 3 levels designed to enrich the lives of all its users.

It has been purpose-built to embrace various learning styles, with large class areas, technology rooms, carrels for individual study and group discussion rooms.

Studies have shown that a school with a well-resourced library provides opportunities for students to excel and connect with their learning on many levels.

The Library staff work closely with teachers to develop meaningful tasks in relation to the curriculum studies as well as offering up-to-date technologies, study spaces, classrooms, reading programs and casual reading areas.  The Library has a program of events throughout the year with guest speakers, storytellers, parents’ evenings, exhibitions and displays.

I am proud to lead a team of highly qualified teacher librarians and support staff.
