Barker's riches lie within its community; members of whom give so generously of their time, energy and moneyThe Rev John Griffiths (one-time Chairman of the School Council)

Established in 1981, the Barker Foundation's main task is to assist the School Council by providing funds for major capital works. In its first 25 years, the Foundation has helped the School Council build the McCaskill Music Centre, the Design Centre, the Foundation Aquatic Centre, the Hornsby Hundred Building, the Foundation Science Centre and the Barker College Library. It has undertaken to assist the School Council to build the new English and Christian Studies building commencing in the latter part of 2007.

The School's impressive and extensive facilities are a testimony of the work of past generations of the Barker Community and this has been supported in more recent years by the work of the Foundation through its Building and Library Fund.

The Foundation's Education Trust Fund funds opportunities for teachers to visit centres of excellence in their subject areas in Australia and overseas, as well as bringing distinguished educators and scholars to work with Barker staff and students in their areas of expertise.

The long term aim of The Foundation's Education Trust is substantially to underwrite the recurrent costs of the School by the year 2050. This will be achieved through financial support from all sectors of the School Community, and bequests made under the auspices of the Barker Heritage Society.
