Barker offers its students a broad range of sporting, cultural and recreational co-curricular activities and programs. Students have opportunities to be involved in Music, Cadets, Debating, Drama productions, Outdoor Education and a choice of over 20 different Sports.
The School places a high importance on its co-curricular program, because we believe it adds significantly to the quality of each student’s school experience, while at the same time introducing students to significant opportunities for personal growth and development, through opportunities that simply cannot be offered within the conventional classroom-learning environment.
From K - 6, a broad range of sporting, cultural and recreational co-curricular activities are available. In secondary school, from Year 7- 12, Barker offers its students further opportunity to develop and expand their existing interests and capabilities. In addition to Drama, Music, Cadets, there are also compulsory Outdoor Education Camps. All students participate in these as part of their all-round development of new skills, both in interacting with the outdoors and in interacting with each other in groups in an unfamiliar environment.
At Barker, there is something for everyone!
