![]() Building for the futureBarker College Council has a fundamental responsibility to ensure that appropriate resources and facilities are available for its students to gain the teaching and learning experiences that a 21st Century education demands.
In the last ten years, Barker College Council has gradually implemented its ten-year strategic plan to refurbish, upgrade or replace all of the School’s facilities for teaching and learning. Progressive refurbishment and upgrading of other existing classroom areas throughout the School has ensured that today’s Barker students are taught in classroom environments which support and facilitate current thinking and current approaches to secondary education.
Council is now committed to completing its ten-year upgrade by providing new facilities for the Christian Studies, English, Drama and Learning Support Departments. The new building will replace seven demountable classrooms currently in use on the School campus, as well as four classrooms in the 1937 West Wing which have become unsuitable for teaching and learning in the context of the 2009 curriculum.
I invite you to help us to complete our task by giving generously to the Kurrajong Building Capital Appeal.
