The Barker Library is a special place integral to teaching and learning at Barker.

Located in the heart of the campus, it is a welcoming and focused learning space on 3 levels designed to enrich the lives of all its users. It has been designed to embrace various learning styles, with large class areas, technology rooms, carrels for individual study and group discussion rooms.

Studies have shown that a school with a well-resourced library provides opportunities for students to excel and connect with their learning on many levels. Further, studies show the benefits to be gained in terms of student achievement through the provision of qualified teacher librarians.  At Barker, a team of eight teacher librarians work closely with subject departments to ensure students develop lifelong information literacy knowledge and skills.

I am pleased to have joined the vibrant library staff at Barker, and  I invite you to explore our tailored programs for student research and study and enjoy with us our love of literature and learning.
