Kurrajong was opened in August 2010, and provides spacious and flexible teaching and learning spaces for teaching both Middle School and Senior School students in English, Christian Studies, Drama and Learning Support. Kurrajong also houses four large teaching studios for Drama classes and four small-group rehearsal studios for senior students to prepare individual and group performances that are integral to assessment in Drama. The building also has two fully-equipped theatres seating 220 and 140 respectively, for student productions, concerts, and performances, as well as for teaching purposes. Kurrajong was built as an environmentally-sustainable building, with its design specifically commissioned to meet the Teaching and Learning programs of the 21st Century, including Barker's specific educational model - Teaching for Understanding. < back | next >
