Friends of Barker Music (FOBM) is a music parent support group that was established in 2002. FOBM support the students and staff in a number of music activities throughout the year and helps initiate fundraising activities that support the costs of international touring. The Music Centre is extremely grateful for the generous support of FOBM over many years. Some activities that FOBM undertake include: Catering: Organising and serving refreshments required at concerts for both audience and performers. Publicity of Music events: Advertising music events in the school and to the wider community through newspapers, TV, radio Logistic support: Front of house duties and sales of refreshments at concerts. Fundraising Support: devising and organising a range of fund-raising activities for music tours such as Barker Swings Music resources cataloguing: Assisting music staff with music library cataloguing Second Hand Instruments: Providing an agency for the buying and selling of instruments.
