So what is The Kurrajong Society you may ask?
The Kurrajong Society offers a special place for the friends of Barker College. We are a friendly, fun group of people who share Barker College as one of our common interests.
Membership is free and parents are automatically a member if you have had at least one child leave Barker or are a past Barker staff member. It is also for those who just love Barker. They are like-minded people who want to foster friendship and fun with those who have been a part of the Barker life. We have an opportunity to be a part of the many events held at the School.
Throughout the year a number of Barker functions are held which include attendance at the Year 12 play; Symphony Under the Stars; Barker/Knox Rugby Home game; BCCU Ceremonial Parade and the annual Barker Musical are some - just to name a few. We enjoy participating at the wonderful BCMA Spring Fair every two years. The Kurrajong Society and Information stall, gives the Committee the opportunity to meet many of the visitors to the Fair.
So if you want to meet up with some of Barker's past parents and staff, meet new friends or want to enjoy some of the wonderful performances at the School, make sure you look out for the Kurrajong Newsletters or email invitations.
If for any reason you are not receiving our mail, please contact us on firstname.lastname@example.org and we will ensure you are included on the next mailing list.
So why don't you come and join us for fun, laughter and some excellent quality performances that are happening at Barker College.
The Committee welcomes new members each year when the Year 12 class graduates and their parents can then join the Kurrajong Society. We look forward to meeting you and sharing some of the wonderful School events with you.
