A MESSAGE FROM THE HEADMASTER REGARDING INDEPENDENT SCHOOLS FUNDING

Government Funding of Independent Schools

 As all Barker parents will be aware, there has been significant discussion in the media recently regarding possible changes to both State and Federal Government funding arrangements for independent schools.

Of particular concern last week was the announcement by the NSW State Government of a possible freeze in State funding levels for independent schools.

The School Council is working through these issues in close consultation with The Association of Independent Schools of NSW.

When the funding situation becomes clearer, the School Council will advise parents on how these changes might affect Barker College.
